Bui Thanh
Bui Thanh Phuong's (b. 1956) impressionistic paintings convey his deep affection for the ancient streets of his hometown, Hanoi, as well as his love of nature. A self-taught artist, Bui Thanh Phuong continues to sketch and then paint Hanoi's Old Quarter, reinforcing and celebrating his memories of the grace and beauty of this grand old city, against its inevitable modern development.
