Melissa
Jenkins
alias Meljen
Michaelangelo believed that he wasn't a sculptor, but that he was given tools to free figures from the blocks of marble. That is how I feel about my artwork. I see a vision as clear as day when I look at a blank page, and I let that vision flow from my fingers to bring it to life. I can literally feel the image being carved out of the page with my art materials...every curve, every angle. My artwork is my own personal expression, whether detailed or simple. It is a part of me, and a wonderfully treasured gift from God.
