I am a self taught artist working primarily in pastel. I love the rich colors and the control that I get with pastel pencils over soft pastel. The world of animals, both wild and domestic, is my passion. The power and grace of an arabian horse, the cool level gaze of a wolf, the exuberance of puppies at play, all move me as other subjects haven't. These are the emotions that I try to convey to the viewer, working close up, to give a glimpse into the animal's personality.
