Howl
The primary focus of my work deals with the ultra fantastic, almost alien biological feeling that lives just under the surface of every day life. I am looking to capture some part of the essence of reality through my work. My current paintings focus on organic liquid forms and colors that are applied in a way that it becomes hard to tell exactly how each piece was created. In some way I feel as though art has always strived for this, for the removal of the human hand from the work. To utilize in some way the power that nature has to create beautiful forms that are perfect with seemingly no effort. In so doing I become somewhat like a conductor, directing the overall picture, but allowing it to change and mature into what it will. [MORE...]
